Securities Paralegal

Our client is a well established mid-sized law firm in downtown Vancouver known for its collaborative culture and commitment to high quality client service. They are looking to add a full time securities paralegal to their team.

• Leading private placement processes including preparing offering documents, reviewing subscription agreements, coordinating required filings with the applicable stock exchange, preparing closing documents, filing Forms 45 106F1, and liaising with US counsel when needed.
• Supporting public offerings including collecting information from clients and advisors and preparing and submitting filings with securities regulators and stock exchanges.
• Applying for CUSIP and ISIN numbers.
• Assisting with continuous disclosure documents and attending to SEDAR Plus filings.
• Preparing documents related to stock options and other security based compensation and submitting required filings.
• Coordinating annual general meeting planning with clients and preparing related meeting materials.
• Working with the corporate services team on corporate filings with the BC Registrar of Companies and Corporations Canada.
• Handling administrative tasks such as conflict searches, file openings, billing, trust deposits, cheque requisitions, and write off requests.

• The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per annum and is based on relevant experience and skill level.
• The firm offers a competitive benefits package including an RRSP matching program and the option to work remotely once per week.

• 3+ years of experience as a securities paralegal.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands on experience with SEDAR Plus and familiarity with SEDI.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• A willingness to learn and adapt within a busy practice.
