Sanctuary AI, a world leader in building dexterity-driven Physical AI for general purpose robots, is seeking an experienced Patent Agent to join our in‑house IP team. The role reports to the SVP of Intellectual Property and focuses on supporting intellectual property protection and continuous improvement of our IP processes.

The Patent Agent is a crucial part of our team, supporting intellectual property protection. Your responsibilities will include:

• Invention Mining – Keep up to date with all technical developments to identify strategic patenting opportunities.
• Patent Preparation – Triage inventions, draft new patent applications (aiming at ≥1 new draft per month), prepare invention disclosure materials, and file patent applications and related documents.
• Patent Prosecution – Prosecute existing portfolio drafts through to issuance, handling everything from missing parts to PTAB appeals, and file required responses.
• Patent Docket Management – Perform diligent docket management, including data entry, document collection, and recordation.

• Your Experience – Registered patent agent in Canada and/or the United States; significant experience preparing patent applications in AI and/or robotics is an asset.
• Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills; quick to understand new concepts in both familiar and unfamiliar technology domains.
• Traits – Positive attitude, strong personal responsibility, proactive conflict resolution, bias for action, independent problem solving, effective communication, mission‑driven passion for human‑like intelligence in machines.
