Join our team as an Operations Supervisor at National Seating & Mobility (NSM). NSM provides complex rehabilitation seating, mobility, and positioning systems across Canada, working closely with therapists and healthcare professionals to improve independence, safety, and comfort for clients.
Job DetailsWe are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our sales and operations teams, ensuring operational excellence through effective management and process improvement. This role reports to the Area Manager.
Responsibilities- Provide operational support and mentorship to all team members.
- Assist in onboarding, training, and professional development of new staff.
- Help develop process improvements and monitor employee time efficiencies, approving weekly timesheets.
- Manage vacation requests and coordinate coverage.
- Supervise operations staff (customer service, field techs, service techs, warehouse personnel, and purchasing) to meet performance standards.
- Supervise outside sales staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Contribute to staff reviews, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions, including absenteeism and termination when necessary.
- Support customer service activities: greet customers, assist with product selection, manage phone support, schedule deliveries, and maintain client records.
- Prepare quotes, schedule appointments, and oversee equipment repair and warehousing tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including inventory management and additional operational tasks.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a related supervisory or operational role.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and multitask independently.
- Proactive problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in challenging situations.
