** Ongoing*The Donor Relations Development Coordinator, Development and Alumni Engagement, is essential to enhancing the Donor Relations team's initiatives within the four pillars of donor relations at UBC DAE. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate must be experienced in using project management tools and principles to effectively drive implementation, as well as possess strong data analytics skills and proficiency in Excel to analyze and present data effectively.
** Exceptional organizational skills and effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders are also critical. Key responsibilities include managing administrative tasks, conducting in-depth research, and executing diverse programs aimed at strengthening donor engagement and stewardship, ultimately fostering lasting relationships with donors.

** JOB SUMMARY
** The Development Coordinator is responsible for providing program implementation and coordination to development programs. This position is instrumental in the delivery of programs and services designed to facilitate a lifelong relationship with UBC donors, alumni and students. Participates in on-going fundraising planning.
** ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS

One of:
Associate Director, Manager, Director, Senior Director/Assistant Dean, or Executive Director of Development.

Works with: UBC faculty and staff involved in fundraising.

Contacts:
Donors, outside community groups and organizations.

Supervises:
No supervisory responsibilities.
** WORK PERFORMED
*** Supports the development and implementation of new unit initiatives that advance UBC`s strategic plan
* Ensures that appropriate donor recognition, acknowledgement and stewardship programs are in place;
* Develops and maintains a deep understanding and expert use of the University's donor and alumni database;
* Participates in on-going fundraising planning and practice and process development;
* Writes donor/prospect solicitation materials and correspondence;
* Researches and drafts fundraising proposals for senior management for presentation to donors;
* Develops unit analytical reports as requested by manager;
* Ensures processing of donor gifts, pledges and receipts;
* Develops and maintains processes and procedures as needed;
* Needs to accommodate flexible hours, attending events;
* Performs other related duties as required.
** CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR
** Programs conducted by the Development and Alumni Engagement portfolio on behalf of the University are very public. The financial and moral responsibility to the University and to donors is significant. The interactions of this position with donors and others external to the University can have serious implications for the Development and Alumni Engagement portfolio. Poor judgement could lead to the alienation of donors, embarrassment to UBC and its senior administration and can result in the loss of significant financial support to the University.

** Works under direction from manager to achieve objectives. Work is reviewed for achievement of objectives, soundness of judgement and quality of work.

** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
*** Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. Or an equivalent combination of experience or education in a related discipline.
* Minimum of 1 year of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
