Reporting to the Program Manager
, the Project Manager will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of a designated project(s), ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Aecon’s strategic objectives.

What You’ll Do Here:
  • Lead and manage the operational and financial performance of a designated region, ensuring business plan objectives and targets are achieved
  • Monitor workload, financial results, risks, and opportunities, and proactively elevate issues to the Program Manager as required
  • Resolve project-level legal and contractual matters, escalating complex issues when necessary
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing management team with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and implement staff development and succession plans for key roles within the organization
  • Review and approve expenditures and proposal pricing within delegated authority
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and union partners
  • Ensure all regional operations align with corporate and divisional strategies, policies, procedures, and business plans
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Superintendents and field crews across the region
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operational success
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a combination of technical training and relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Manager role
  • Demonstrated experience within the utility contracting industry
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to resolve project issues and disputes with minimal supervision
  • Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments and project teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel between Utilities yards as required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and MS Project
