We are seeking a seasoned Director of Construction (Mining) to lead the execution of a high-altitude mining and infrastructure project in South America. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing multi-billion dollar construction programs across diverse packages—from vertical builds to infrastructure and off-site contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of the overall construction strategy, organization, and integrated schedule.

Oversee multiple concurrent contracts including general services, infrastructure, vertical construction, and off-site packages.

Champion health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across all project phases.

Foster strong industrial relations, including engagement with regional unions.

Utilize local and regional fabrication facilities to optimize execution outcomes.

Establish and maintain relationships with local universities to support community hiring initiatives.

Represent the project in client presentations and community engagements, promoting transparent communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in high-altitude construction projects (>3500m).

Prior leadership in Construction Director roles on large-scale industrial projects.

Strong project management skills with experience managing contracts exceeding $3B.

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Familiarity with South American project environments.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead multicultural teams in remote settings.
