Guide and support social performance teams and operational leaders in delivering programs that strengthen community relationships, manage social risk, and create sustainable value.
Partner with site leadership and operational teams to establish public commitments, targets, and initiatives that support positive community outcomes and responsible mining practices.
Develop and oversee assurance and governance programs that measure performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement across social performance activities.
Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on social performance risks, stakeholder engagement, community relations, and emerging issues that may impact business objectives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social performance programs, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management on key risks, trends, and opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with Indigenous communities, local stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and external organizations to support constructive engagement and long‑term partnerships.
Build capability within site social performance teams through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
Promote leading practices in social performance, stakeholder engagement, participatory monitoring, and community development across Newmont operations.
Lead and develop a high‑performing, inclusive team culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Prerequisites for Your Success Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Performance, Community Development, Social Sciences, Indigenous Studies, Public Policy, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience leading social performance, stakeholder engagement, community relations, Indigenous relations, or sustainability programs within mining, natural resources, infrastructure, or similarly complex industries.
Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing social performance strategies, systems, standards, and governance frameworks across multiple operations or jurisdictions.
Strong understanding of community engagement, Indigenous relations, participatory monitoring, social risk management, and sustainable development principles.
Proven ability to advise senior leaders on social performance risks, opportunities, and stakeholder‑related business impacts.
Experience developing partnerships with communities, Indigenous groups, regulators, government agencies, and external organizations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, planning, performance reporting, and strategic business initiatives.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with a track record of building inclusive, high‑performing teams.
Advanced communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience assessing trends, identifying systemic issues, and developing practical solutions that support business and community…
