As Director of Commercial Services at Bosch Building Technologies North America (Bosch BT NA), you will plan, organize, direct, and control the activities required for successful project delivery.

You will proactively manage and oversee the local functions of the Project Management Office (PMO), Design & Estimation, and Sales.

Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will have full financial accountability and responsibility for all commercial management activities for the Vancouver Branch.

The Director of Commercial Services will work strategically and collaboratively with the existing local leadership group to support overall business development, account management, and the execution of complex technology projects, and ensure we deliver the highest level of service for our ever-growing client base while supporting our highly skilled workforce.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing Commercial Services team of Project Management Office (PMO), Design / Estimation, and Inside Sales teams Act as primary point of contact for all commercial communications with clients, subcontractors and ensure timely issuance of formal correspondence to maintain project momentum Collaborate closely with field, sales and engineering teams to manage project estimation & delivery Ensure best of class project management disciplines are being executed, and that consistent, effective communication plans are in place to all key stakeholders Ensure fiscal responsibility of the branch including revenue generation and cost containment, analyze variances from budget, and take corrective actions.

Manage project scope and implement change control procedures across the team to ensure that changes to deliverables or functionality are handled appropriately Oversee the project management process including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication and quality controls.

  • Be primary responsible for tracking project progress and intervene at a granular level when margin slippage or other risk is noted Champion PMO process, be an expert in delivery, use of systems and data, and train PM's and PMO candidates on proficient understanding of projects Coordinate and collaborate with our centralized Innovation Hubs;
    Operations, Strategic Sales, Technology and Service Ensure all Cyber Security processes align with Bosch BT NA’s policy Manager and support all Design & Estimation initiatives Oversight of bid & tender process for successful selection Lead high-value vendor bids, managing procurement, and mitigating financial or legal risk Maintain communications with clients to include monitoring satisfaction, resolving complaints, resolving collection issues, and other.

    Provide ongoing leadership for Inside Sales to attain department objectives Assist in identifying, implementing, and streamlining PMO Operations Promote a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and customer advocacy Maintain deep expertise in Building Technology systems, including controls architectures, integration protocols, analytics tools, and connected building ecosystems Identify emerging customer needs and future service offerings to support Bosch BT NA’s growth trajectory.

    Conduct performance management throughout the year including annual performance evaluations and compensation planning for department Partner with Human Resource to ensure the right people are hired, trained, and supported throughout their career with Bosch Building Technologies Drive project safety, quality, and efficiency first culture Control change-management and drive optimism Maintain and protect assigned company assets. Maintain professional licensing as required Available to work outside of, or in addition to, normal businesses hours.

    Supervisor Duties:
    In accordance with applicable Company policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, will perform the following supervisory responsibilities: planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
