We’ve partnered with a well‑established, decentralized essential‑services organization to recruit an Assistant District Manager for a district in the Greater Vancouver area (Coquitlam-based). This is a hands‑on leadership role with meaningful ownership across people leadership, customer growth, and financial performance (P&L)—ideal for someone who wants a clear pathway to a bigger scope and is open to relocation for advancement.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Strong base salary ($130,000 - $150,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience)
  • Bonus target up to ~20% + equity participation
  • Benefits (medical/dental/vision), retirement match, EAP/employee programs, and insurance coverage
Responsibilities
  • Lead through visibility and relationships in the field—coaching, problem‑solving, and reinforcing a safety‑first culture
  • Partner with the District Manager and department heads to deliver service results, execute action plans, and hit financial targets
  • Drive commercial outcomes: territory planning, competitive/pricing awareness, tenders/RFP support, contract negotiations, and key customer relationships
  • Support union and non‑union environments, including day‑to‑day CBA administration and participation in labour discussions as needed
  • Contribute to forecasting and budget cycles; identify improvement opportunities through data and operational insights
  • Represent the district with community/municipal stakeholders and at local events
What We’re Looking For
  • 5–8+ years leadership experience in operations and/or sales management (logistics/transportation a strong fit; industry experience an asset)
  • Proven business acumen and financial literacy (P&L mindset)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • A true servant leader—credible with frontline teams and confident with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Union exposure beneficial; commercial driver’s license (Class 3/2/1) an asset
  • Flexible schedule with periodic early starts (as early as 4:00 a.m.)

We believe diverse teams build stronger companies, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, including holding any required permits.
