As the Vice President of Communications and Government Relations, you will shape internal and external messaging, providing strategic counsel to the CEO and Executive Leadership. This position emphasizes managing reputational risks and stakeholder engagement while integrating public policies into enterprise strategies to bolster Vancity's influence across governmental levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop integrated communications strategies aligned with enterprise priorities
• Provide strategic counsel on reputation and emerging issues
• Oversee media relations and manage crises
• Build government relations and public policy agenda
• Lead and mentor a diverse communications team
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field;
Master's preferred
• 12–15 years in senior leadership of communications
• Proven experience with media relations and executive communication
• Expertise in advocacy and public policy initiatives
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
