Opportunity
As a Facilities & Construction Manager, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the physical workplace experience across ~43 FCTG locations in Canada, the US, and Mexico. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own facilities operations, maintenance programs, and capital construction projects from concept to completion. Partnering closely with Real Estate, Finance, and brand leaders, you’ll ensure every space reflects our World Class Retailer ambition.

Key Responsibilities
Own day-to-day facilities operations across ~43 retail, corporate, and support locationsManage the Pro Lease maintenance ticket lifecycle from intake through to resolutionCoordinate vendors, trades, and contractors to ensure timely issue resolutionDevelop and execute preventive maintenance programs for critical building systemsSource, negotiate, and manage facilities service contracts with defined SLAsAct as escalation point for urgent facilities issues across all locationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and building regulationsIncorporate sustainability and ESG practices into facilities operationsLead design and construction delivery for fit-outs, relocations, and refresh projectsManage CAPEX budgets, cost estimates, and project financial reportingDrive value engineering and cost efficiencies across construction projectsEnsure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to brand standardsCoordinate with landlords, building managers, and municipal authoritiesBuild and manage preferred vendor and contractor panelsConduct vendor performance reviews and manage contract renewalsCollaborate with Real Estate leadership on portfolio strategy and execution

5+ years’ experience in facilities management, construction project management, or similarProven experience managing multi-site facilities and vendor relationshipsHands-on experience delivering construction and fit-out projects end-to-endExperience with facilities management systems (Pro Lease or similar CMMS preferred)Knowledge of health, safety, and building codes (Canada and/or US)Retail or multi-site commercial environment experience preferredStrong project management and budget management skillsVendor and contractor management expertise with SLA accountabilityWorking knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety)Strong communication skills with ability to engage senior stakeholdersFamiliarity with ESG and sustainability principles in facilities operationsProficiency in Excel for budget trackingWork Perks!
