Marketing & Business Development Manager - BC Region
What you will do
Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing and Business Development, you will play a lead role in the management of the BC Region’s marketing team and the execution and delivery of strategic marketing and business development initiatives to strengthen market presence, build brand awareness and support business growth.
The successful candidate is an established marketing and business development professional who can lead a team, is highly motivated, organized and has a demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders. This is a hand-on role and will support two BC offices in Vancouver and Surrey. The role will principally be located in our Vancouver office.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development, lawyers and stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and business development initiatives aligned with regional prioritiesManage a team of marketing and business development professionals, assigning work, ensuring quality and consistency of output and client satisfactionSupport client relationship programs, including key client planning, cross-selling initiatives and client feedback effortsConduct and coordinate research on identified business targets and regional practice group plans. Assist with developing tailored regional strategies, approaches and materials for effective business development effortsAssess, manage and activate regional partnerships, sponsorships and events to support business priorities, strengthen brand presence and maximize ROILead the preparation of marketing materials for current and prospective clients including pitches and RFP responsesDesign and execute multi-channel marketing initiatives (digital, earned media, paid media, etc) to elevate the profile of the BC regionTrack budget and provide reporting on BC marketing and BD activitiesOversee preparation of directory and award submissionsMonitor emerging regional and industry trends and opportunities and incorporate into actionable plansLeverage AI and other tools and champion their adoption to improve workflowCollaborate closely with Firmwide and other regional marketing teams to ensure integrated efforts initiativesSpecial project work and other marketing management duties as outlined by the Senior Director of Marketing and Business DevelopmentRequired Knowledge and Experience
You have 5+ years of managerial experience in a professional services environment, and preferably a degree in Marketing or BusinessYou have proven experience developing, managing and implementing effective multi-channel marketing programs and business development plans, communications, thought leadership, branding, client service planning and go-to-market strategiesYou have strong verbal and written communication skills and excel at project management, negotiation, change management and consulting to get buy-in and support for projects, even as you balance competing priorities and stakeholders’ expectations across different areas of businessYou can identify key industry and client information (trends, issues, client-specific data and strategic business opportunities) and present marketing perspective on what will be required to meet strategic goalsYou are a self-starter who can work with little day-to-day supervisionAt Fasken, success means
