THE OPPORTUNITY

As the leader of the Construction Department, you will lead and motivate the team responsible for turning our beautiful designs into world class physical spaces. The VP of Construction is responsible for leading the overall strategy, structure, and execution of the Construction department, ensuring the successful delivery of all projects across quality, cost, and timeline. This role provides senior oversight across all phases of the build lifecycle—from early planning through to final delivery—while setting clear standards, aligning teams, and building the systems and processes needed for scale.

THE JOB

As the VP of Construction you will:

Set and uphold the strategic direction for how all construction projects are delivered, establishing scalable standards and processes that ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes at scale.

Establish and align clear, end-to-end construction plans that define scope, schedule, ownership, and execution approach across all projects.

Lead the governance of construction documentation standards and processes to ensure compliance, constructability, and cross-functional collaboration that supports efficient on-site execution across all projects.

Oversee on-site execution standards and processes to ensure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Oversee the contractor engagement strategy, setting expectations and managing performance to ensure strong performance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the build portfolio.

Oversee budgeting standards, cost management practices, and integration of Owner-Furnished Items to ensure delivery & integration discipline, and alignment with project timelines at scale.

QUALIFICATIONS

The VP of Construction has:

Deep understanding of the full build lifecycle with experience driving process improvement

Experience in building high-end, luxury high-rises or multi-floor spaces preferred

A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles

The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
