We are looking for a strategic and collaborative professional to join our clients’ team as Director of Professional Development.
This position is responsible for the ongoing development and management of the firm’s associate and student initiatives. Reporting to the Partner responsible for Associates, the Director will oversee the associate program, lead student recruitment activities, and administer the firm’s student program. Working closely with both associates and students, the successful candidate will coordinate key initiatives including orientation, mentorship, professional development, wellness programming, and performance evaluations.
The Director will also assist with the planning and approval of lawyer-related events, including associate events, while overseeing the preparation and management of the annual budget for these programs.

Demonstrated leadership ability with experience successfully leading through influence.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Strong organizational and planning skills.Strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, from direct reports through to the Management Committee, while handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Creative approach to problem-solving and the ability to think beyond conventional solutions.Proven management experience.Recruitment experience is preferred.Genuine interest in lawyer development and legal recruitment.Experience developing and managing budgets.Qualifications & Experience
JD or LL.B. preferred, together with experience practicing law.Work Arrangement
