Position OverviewYou are a Corporate Restructuring professional ready to work at the centre of complex, high‑stakes restructuring mandates. As a Manager in our Corporate Restructuring practice, you lead critical client relationships and work closely with nationally recognised insolvency leaders on some of the most impactful files across British Columbia. You bring a strong client focus and an entrepreneurial edge, thrive in collaborative teams, and are motivated by building, whether that’s a practice, future leaders, or your own career path.

- Managing a complex corporate restructuring portfolio, and in so doing, effectively manage engagement files, including overseeing a professional, technical, and administrative team
- Evaluating complex business issues and formulating recommendations for the Court and various stakeholders to maximise creditor recoveries, while maintaining business viability where possible
- Stakeholder communication and negotiation – effectively interact with stakeholders with diverse interests on file engagements (creditors, debtors, lawyers, lenders, etc.) for creditors and legal inquiries
- Financial oversight – tracking project progress, milestones, and deadlines, reviewing invoices, preparing payments and handling trust account duties; preparing summary of receipts and disbursements for trust accounts
- Ad hoc projects utilising your accounting skills and business acumen in a variety of unique, challenging, one‑off, real‑time assignments
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with other corporate restructuring professionals including lawyers, regulators, investors and representatives of lending institutions
- Actively participating in industry organisations, events, and firm marketing initiatives to generate new corporate restructuring business
- Demonstrated client development skills with a focus on building relationships and actively anticipating client and market needs
- Nurturing alumni connections: strengthening your professional network by maintaining relationships with alumni
- Actively participating in professional, industry or community organisation events
- Enrollment in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) Qualification Program in preparation to obtain Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)
- Completion of a Bachelor’s or advanced level degree (Masters) or professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 3+ years of advisory experience in a Canadian professional services firm, leading and conducting complex corporate restructuring and insolvency proceedings, or equivalent professional experience
- Insolvency expertise: comprehensive knowledge of insolvency proceedings and ability to attend client sites
- Financial acumen: understands key performance indicators and financial reporting
- Proficiency in file acquisition, file administration and file closure
- Exceptional communication and writing skills for stakeholder communication, report writing for Court and look‑see business overview reports
- Active participation in professional, industry or community organizations events
- Developing connections with bankers, lawyers, trustees and other potential referral sources to promote the firm
- Upholding the firm’s ethical standards and code of conduct for trustees
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to develop the team and the broader advisory practice
