Reporting directly to the President, the Managing Principal, Vancouver is responsible for leading client engagements while driving the growth and development of the Vancouver office.
This role combines:
- Client leadership and delivery
- Team leadership and development
- Office leadership and business performance
The successful candidate will serve as a senior representative of Ignite in the market, building relationships, generating new opportunities, ensuring excellence in client delivery, and shaping the local culture and operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, leading engagements from discovery through execution
- Design and facilitate executive‑level strategic planning, leadership development, and implementation sessions
- Deliver high‑quality, actionable recommendations and outcomes
- Build long‑term client relationships that generate repeat business and ongoing partnerships
- Develop trusted client relationships that drive long‑term growth
- Build systems and accountability mechanisms that support pipeline visibility and business development activity
- Translate firm strategy into focused regional growth initiatives
- Leverage an existing network to generate new business opportunities
- Strengthen Ignite’s market presence across North America, with a primary focus on Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest
- Own office financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost management
- Lead and develop the Vancouver team
- Foster a high‑performance, values‑driven culture
- Oversee project staffing, team development, and quality of delivery
- Support operational and strategic initiatives that contribute to overall firm growth
- Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field
- MBA or professional designation (CPA, CPHR, etc.) considered an asset
- 15+ years of experience in consulting or a strategic business environment
- Strong background in strategy, leadership development, organizational design, or transformation
- Excellent conceptual and analytical thinking skills
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate senior‑level client engagements
- Demonstrated business development and relationship management experience
- Established professional network within Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence, communication, and influencing abilities
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams
- Collaborative, humble, and self‑aware leadership style
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and grow
- Ability to work in both Canada and the United States through citizenship or appropriate work authorization
