Manager of Research Operations at UBC

Lead the administration of research operations within the Faculty of Medicine s managerial role requires strong project management, relationship-building, and research administration skills.

As the Manager of Research Operations, you will be responsible for effective governance and support for research initiatives. Collaborating closely with various departments, you'll coordinate resources, manage funding applications, and ensure compliance with policies. You're expected to provide senior leadership while enhancing operational practices for the Office of Research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administration of research centers and funding initiatives

• Develop and implement research policies and best practices

• Manage reports and communication with faculty members

• Provide leadership and direction to research administration staff

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• MSc/PhD in biological or health sciences preferred

• Strong project management and governance experience

• Excellent research and analytical skills

• Proven communication and interpersonal abilities
