Distinct Vancouver is growing its event team and is looking for motivated individuals to support promotional campaigns across Greater Vancouver. This position is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on experience, variety in their workdays, and the chance to build communication and commercial skills through real interaction.
The Role
As an Event Marketing Assistant, you’ll represent a nationally recognised client at in‑store promotions, pop‑up events, and community activations. You’ll be customer‑facing from the outset — engaging the public, explaining products and services clearly, and supporting the overall performance of each campaign.
This is an active, front‑line role. You won’t be working behind the scenes — you’ll be part of the delivery, learning how effective event marketing and sales work in real time. Full training and ongoing coaching are provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engaging customers face‑to‑face at live events and retail locations
- Introducing products and services and explaining their everyday value
- Supporting the sales process by answering questions and guiding decisions
- Creating positive, professional brand experiences
- Assisting with event setup, presentation, and breakdown
- Working toward daily and weekly campaign targets

- Confident communicators or those keen to build confidence quickly
- Candidates with backgrounds in events, retail, hospitality, promotions, or customer service (helpful, not essential)
- Individuals who adapt well to changing environments
- Reliable, professional team players with a positive attitude
No previous event or sales experience is required — training is provided from day one.
What’s On Offer
- Competitive weekly earnings with performance‑based bonuses and commissions — average earnings around $800 per week
- Hands‑on experience in live event and promotional environments
- Ongoing coaching and skill development
- A supportive, energetic team culture
- Clear progression opportunities into senior event, sales, or leadership roles
- Varied workdays across different locations — no two campaigns are the same
If you’re looking for a role that’s interactive, people-driven, and genuinely varied — this is a strong place to build experience and momentum.
