The Role

Monks is seeking a dynamic Strategist to join our award-winning media agency. In this role, you’ll be driving holistic marketing strategies that unify brand, creative, media and consumer experience across the full funnel. The role is central to ensuring marketing initiatives are insight-led, integrated and aligned with business goals. This position requires a balance of strategic vision, cross-channel marketing expertise, strong communications and project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning:
    Develop and deliver 360 marketing strategies across multiple marketing channels. Lead end-to-end strategic planning process across campaigns, ensuring a unified approach.
  • Integrated Campaign Leadership:
    Partner closely with creative and media teams to deliver and implement best-in-class innovative strategies.
  • Marketing Effectiveness:
    Partner with analytics, media, and business intelligence teams to ensure measurement strategies are feeding insights into ongoing optimizations and future planning.
  • Consumer Journeys:
    Lead the development and implementation of a consumer journey mapping process, coaching cross-functional teams through best practices and frameworks to uncover key touchpoints, identify gaps and ensure all brand assets strategically align to the journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with brands, creative, media, and 3rd party partners to ensure alignment, consistency and agility in marketing efforts. Provide the team with potential solutions on developing holistic and interconnected plans.
  • Presentation & Reporting:
    Present strategies, tactical plans, and post-campaign analysis to client stakeholders, connecting performance to business outcomes.
  • Innovation:
    Stay ahead of creative and media trends, and identify opportunities to pilot new channels and partnerships.
About You The essentials:
  • 5+ years experience in strategy, insights, or planning
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise across digital, traditional, social media, and retail media platforms, with proven ability to design campaigns that drive both awareness and sales.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • High energy, detail-oriented, and a proactive "go-getter" with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passion for exploring new tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in relevant planning and analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, Google Analytics).
