Vancouver Foundation , one of Canada’s largest and most impactful community foundations is seeking a  Vice President, Donor Services & Relations  to join its Executive Team. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of philanthropy in British Columbia and help build more equitable, vibrant communities across the province.
Since 1943, Vancouver Foundation has partnered with donors and community leaders to address the most pressing social, environmental, and cultural challenges across BC. The Foundation has granted more than  $1.5 billion  to charities and non‑profits to date, working collaboratively to reduce inequality and create opportunity for all.
The Vice President, Donor Services & Relations drives Vancouver Foundation’s donor engagement strategy—shaping how generosity becomes community impact. In this executive role, the VP leads the design and execution of mission‑aligned donor strategies, ensuring granting reflects community priorities and equity principles. They champion purpose‑driven philanthropy by strengthening donor stewardship, aligning gifts with systemic impact, and cultivating major donors and strategic partners across individuals, corporations, foundations, and government.

As a visible ambassador for the Foundation, the VP represents the organization at key events, builds influential relationships with professional advisors, and advances Vancouver Foundation’s leadership in community philanthropy. Internally, they ensure donor operations run with excellence, leveraging strong processes and technology, while leading a team of 13 and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and learning‑focused culture that supports organizational priorities.
The next VP, Donor Servies & Relations will be a values‑driven, community‑minded leader who brings a blend of strategic thinking, humility, relational leadership, and a deep commitment to equity, Reconciliation, and systems‑level impact. The ideal candidate demonstrates a balance of “Head–Heart–Hands” leadership—combining strategic foresight, emotional intelligence, and practical action to create environments where people and communities thrive. This leader understands the responsibility of stewarding organizational culture, engages with integrity and transparency, and models accountability, learning, and inclusive decision‑making.

They bring meaningful experience in donor engagement, philanthropy, or social impact, and are committed to strengthening community well‑being through equitable and purpose‑aligned philanthropy.
