Temporary Volunteer Coordinator at PLEA

Lead volunteer efforts at PLEA Community Services as a Temporary Full-Time Volunteer Coordinator in Vancouver. Focus on mentoring vulnerable youth through skilled volunteer management.

This position entails recruiting and training volunteers for a mentoring program targeting vulnerable children and youth. As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will ensure volunteers are well-prepared to provide, document, and report on their impact. Community representation will bolster the program’s recruitment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen, interview, and onboard volunteers for mentorship

• Coordinate intake orientation for mentees

• Ensure accurate maintenance of volunteer records and statistics

• Promote volunteer roles through community initiatives

• Oversee evaluation and improvement of the volunteer program

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human/social services

• Two years’ experience with vulnerable youth populations

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a vehicle

• Must satisfy Criminal Record and First Aid training requirements
