Community Food Security Associate

Position: Community Food Security Associate Role
Help strengthen food security at the Salvation Army by becoming a Community Food Security Associate. Oversee volunteers and manage food donations to support essential community services.

As part of the Food Services team, you will work with the Program Coordinator to facilitate food rescue and distribution activities. This role involves leading volunteer teams, analyzing food rescue data, and ensuring safety standards in food preparation and handling. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on vulnerable community members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate volunteer efforts in food services

• Analyze and report food rescue metrics

• Prepare meals and distribute hampers as needed

• Assist with outreach for food procurement

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in food handling areas

Requirements:

• Background working with marginalized populations

• Experience in a multi-cultural environment

• Strong multitasking and communication abilities

• Willingness to perform moderate lifting tasks

• High school diploma with relevant training
