Elevate your career as an Advocacy Coordinator at VAST, where you'll connect clients with crucial resources in a hybrid work environment. This temporary full-time role involves extensive community engagement and advocacy for newcomers in British Columbia.
Supporting the VAST Management Team, you'll play an essential role in conducting client intakes, providing referrals, and assisting in mental health sessions tailored to diverse cultural groups. Collaborate with community partners, organize workshops, and engage actively in policy-related advocacy to ensure effective community support services. Your contribution will enhance data management and client outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow up with clients to assess ongoing needs
• Facilitate group sessions and client training
• Coordinate and support community workshops
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions
• Participate in organizing advocacy events and initiatives
Requirements:
• Experience in social change and advocacy
• Strong analytical and writing abilities
• Knowledge of advocacy tools and CRM software
• Commitment to anti-racism and equity
• Bilingualism considered an asset
