The Director of Development, Principal Gifts is a pivotal role in UBC's Development and Alumni Engagement team. This position requires at least eight years of experience, including five in fundraising, where collaboration and strategy development are key. You will guide a team, manage complex gift solicitations, and monitor unit goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and cultivate major gift prospects and donors

• Develop solicitation strategies and execute gifts documentation

• Mentor and supervise junior fundraising staff

• Ensure recognition and stewardship for major gift donors

• Collaborate with university leadership to enhance fundraising success

Requirements:

• Minimum eight years in fundraising with five years in major gifts

• University degree in a relevant field; graduate degree preferred

• Experience working with centralized fundraising systems

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to meet or exceed fundraising metrics
