Director of Fund Development Schara Tzedeck

Lead fundraising initiatives as the Director of Fund Development at Congregation Schara Tzedeck. This hybrid role requires strategic planning and donor management to advance our mission.

As a vital member of the Schara Tzedeck team, you will report to the Executive Director and collaborate closely with the Rabbi and board chair. Your mission is to develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy that aligns with our synagogue's vision. We're looking for a dedicated professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit or Jewish communal sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategic fundraising plan aligned with synagogue goals

• Cultivate and solicit major donors for gifts

• Manage planned giving and bequest programs

• Oversee educational fundraising events

• Engage with corporate sponsors and grant opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred

• Minimum 3 years fundraising experience in a nonprofit setting

• Track record in securing major and planned gifts

• Experience planning large-scale fundraising events

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
