About the OpportunityYork Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada’s Volunteer Award, offering a range of volunteer positions across the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Market Research Assistant Volunteer who is devoted to giving back to their community and making an impact.
Responsibilities- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to promote programs and events
- Manage social media, website content, and digital communications
- Create marketing materials such as newsletters, posters, and presentations
- Conduct research and track performance to improve campaigns
- Coordinate events and outreach to boost community engagement
- Collaborate with partners to ensure consistent branding and messaging
- Develop and enhance transferable soft skills like leadership, teamwork, and communication
- Gain experience and volunteer hours that can be added to a résumé
- Receive free training
- Free networking opportunities
- Minimum age 12
- Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and software
- Complete training prior to start date
- Can commit to the scheduled shift hours
- Fluency or high proficiency in a language other than English
- Previous volunteer experience
