Empower youth with the Rick Hansen Foundation as a member of the Youth Leadership Committee! Engage in mentorship opportunities and skill development from September 2026 to August 2027.
This volunteer role is open to young individuals aged 13-30 residing in Canada. As a member, you will develop vital soft skills including public speaking and conflict resolution while contributing to meaningful discussions. Commit to one meeting monthly, typically on the third Saturday at noon Pacific Time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend an initial intake summary meeting
• Participate in monthly meetings and discussion
• Review meeting minutes and reports
• Complete the annual reporting survey
• Ensure compliance for annual report presentation
Requirements:
• Aged 13-30 and currently reside in Canada
• Ability to engage constructively in meetings
• Knowledge of issues relevant to youth with disabilities
• Capacity to commit for the full term
• Subject to a criminal background check
