Become a Big Sister mentor and empower youth across Metro Vancouver. Work weekly with girls and gender-diverse youth to provide guidance and support in their lives.
Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland is seeking compassionate mentors for youth aged 7‑17. This role allows you to foster meaningful relationships while helping young people realize their potential. You will engage in one-on-one or group sessions, creating a safe space for discussing personal challenges and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Match with youth for weekly mentoring sessions
• Foster a supportive environment for open discussions
• Attend training sessions and community events
• Participate in workshops and volunteer meetings
Requirements:
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English communication
• Counseling skills preferred but not mandatory
• Must identify as female, non-binary, or gender-diverse
