Gift and Estate Planning Officer BC Cancer

Elevate your fundraising career with the BC Cancer Foundation as a Development Officer specializing in Gift and Estate Planning. Focus on cultivating future gifts and nurturing relationships in the Lower Mainland.

In this permanent, full-time role, the Development Officer is responsible for engaging with 125-150 prospective planned giving donors. You will leverage your fundraising expertise to inspire support, facilitate estate planning discussions, and develop strategies aligned with BC Cancer Foundation's priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and steward donor relations through direct outreach

• Build strategic relationships with prospects to secure future support

• Maintain accurate donor information in Raiser’s Edge database

• Identify new potential donors and assess gift capabilities

• Collaborate with teams for effective fundraising strategies

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in a related field with 3+ years of fundraising experience

• Knowledge in gift and estate planning, and Canadian tax system

• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage sensitive information ethically
