Position type: Permanent, full‑time (40 hours/week)
Compensation: $58,240‑$72,000 annual salary

Job Summary
The Manager of Development leads donor momentum across Mission Possible’s fundraising program, ensuring individual and corporate supporters are thoughtfully acquired, welcomed, retained, stewarded, upgraded, reactivated, and connected to the right next step. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), this role supervises the Development Operations Coordinator and Donor Stewardship Coordinator and works closely with Communications staff and our contract grant‑writer.
This position ensures priorities are clear, donor commitments are fulfilled, and fundraising activity moves forward with excellence. The ideal candidate is a people and fundraising leader who can support staff, strengthen systems, and help grow revenue from individuals, corporations, sponsors, monthly donors, and community supporters.
Working Conditions:
This role will interact with donors, sponsors, volunteers, corporate and community partners, program participants, and vendors. Most work will take place in the Mission Possible office. Some indoor and outdoor off‑site work will occur for events, donor engagement activities, and community‑based fundraising initiatives. Occasional evening and weekend availability is required for events and donor activities.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Donor Pipeline and Relationship Management
Track donor movement across the full fundraising cycle, including acquisition, welcome, retention, stewardship, upgrade, reactivation, sponsorship renewal, and handoff to the CDO when appropriate.
Ensure donors and sponsors have clear next steps after gifts, campaigns, events, meetings, reports, and other meaningful interactions.
Identify donors ready for outreach, stewardship, upgrade, monthly giving, reactivation, or cultivation.
Use donor data and team insights to guide timely follow‑up and relationship‑building.
Lead the Development Team in keeping donor relationships active, organized, and moving toward deeper commitment.
Team Leadership and Development Operations
Lead the day‑to‑day work of the Development Team, ensuring staff are focused on the fundraising activities, donor follow‑up, stewardship commitments, and campaign priorities that matter most.
Work closely with the CDO to assess team capacity, clarify priorities, identify risks, and ensure development work is aligned with fundraising strategy.
Ensure systems support donor follow‑up, accountability, and fundraising decisions.
Support a healthy, collaborative, and accountable team culture grounded in Mission Possible’s core values and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Fundraising Campaigns & Revenue Growth
Lead the execution of fundraising campaigns, including seasonal appeals, the annual Gala, Community Clean Up Day, monthly giving initiatives, sponsorship campaigns, and donor stewardship campaigns.
