Position: Development Officer for Athletics at UBC

This key role within UBC's Development and Alumni Engagement department aims to raise $0.75-1.5 million annually through effective relationship management. The Development Officer will cultivate connections with major gift prospects and partner with university stakeholders to ensure donor satisfaction and program success. Bring your expertise in fundraising and strategic thinking to make a significant impact on athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer fundraising programs, including strategy development and donor cultivation

• Manage complex relationships with multiple internal stakeholders

• Create comprehensive plans for soliciting major gift prospects

• Develop and implement major gift solicitation strategies

• Generate donor correspondence and solicitation materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• At least 3 years of fundraising experience

• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

• Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising systems
