Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland seeks committed mentors for youth aged 7‑17. This role provides an opportunity to support girls and gender-diverse individuals in a safe environment, helping them navigate life’s challenges and aspirations. Your consistent engagement is vital for their growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Form a mentoring relationship with a youth aged 7‑17
• Cultivate a safe space for discussing personal challenges
• Attend training, community events, and volunteer meetings
• Engage in flexible activities with your mentee each week
Requirements:
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English
• Counseling skills are advantageous
• Must identify as female, non-binary, or gender-diverse
Empower youth while developing your own communication and leadership skills as a Big Sister mentor.
