Join Cuso International as a Volunteer Human Rights Policy Advisor in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Help renewable energy companies integrate human rights policies through training and collaborative efforts.
This volunteer placement lasts 5 months, starting August 2026, where you'll work with AHER to implement meaningful policies that promote human rights.
Your role involves conducting workshops and developing innovative proposals to enhance the consultation processes within environmental impact assessments. Leverage your skills to support marginalized groups and promote social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate workshops and consultations for stakeholders
• Create detailed reports following consultations
• Propose changes to environmental assessments
• Advise on best practices for policy guidance
• Support advocacy with stakeholders
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Sciences or related field
• At least 2 years of project management experience
• Experience in social approaches within energy
• Team-oriented with critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of global climate issues
