Communications & Fund Development Specialist

Join Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre as a Fundraising & Communications Specialist. Empower women and children by shaping impactful fundraising strategies.

In this full-time role, you will work alongside the Fund Development Team to create and implement effective fundraising initiatives that align with DEWC's mission in Vancouver. You should have at least two years of relevant experience in donor engagement, event planning, and fundraising strategies, all designed to uplift our community. This position operates within a feminist framework, emphasizing the importance of supporting vulnerable groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute fundraising strategies for DEWC

• Foster donor relationships and manage engagement activities

• Support marketing efforts to enhance DEWC's outreach

• Collaborate with the committee to optimize fundraising efforts

• Document progress through report writing and outreach communications

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in fundraising within non-profits

• Knowledge of gender-based issues in DTES

• IT proficiency with social media platforms

• Ability to manage organizational tasks efficiently

• Must either have or be willing to obtain First Aid Certification
