** We are hiring for a Bartender, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC area.
**** Up to 40 hours per week available.
**** For this position, you must be 19 years of age or older.
**** You will be responsible for:
*** Greeting and interacting with all guests and explaining all specials, promotions and food items on the menu.
* Efficiently preparing drinks to industry and brand standards.
* Knowing the menu syllabus and being able to prioritize allergies or dietary restrictions.
* Recommending food pairings with wine and beverage options.
* Performing responsible alcohol service as per company and brand standards.
* Utilizing POS systems, key functions on terminal, and cash out procedures.
* Ensuring guests needs are met, including keeping beverages full, providing additional condiments and food items and following up with customers during their meal.
* Completing day-to-day bar preparation for garnishments and batching cocktails.
* Adhering to sanitation and safety standards while maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
* Assisting other servers and team members as needed.
** You have:
*** A minimum of 2 year of bartending experience.
* A Serving it Right Certificate.
* Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits, food and beverage preparation, service standards and etiquette.
* A Food Safe Certificate (considered an asset).
* Proficiency with computers and applications including POS systems (considered an asset).
** You are:
*** An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
* Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
