Position: Sessional Second Cook with UBC
Become a Sessional Second Cook at UBC Food Services, focusing on high-volume meal preparation in a vibrant kitchen atmosphere. This position is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction through quality dishes.

UBC is seeking two Second Cooks to support the Food Services department during the academic year. In this role, you will prepare main dishes, salads, and desserts while following menu plans. Leadership, communication with chefs, and maintaining cleanliness according to UBC standards are essential duties in this kitchen position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cook diverse food items as per established menus

• Assist the Commissary Chef and maintain communication

• Oversee and delegate food production tasks

• Ensure quality assessment of all prepared foods

• Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols

Requirements:

• Completion of a certified cooking program required

• Must hold a Food Safe level 1 certificate

• Minimum two years relevant cooking experience

• Commitment to embracing diverse perspectives
