OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled culinary professional responsible for preparing and plating high-quality dishes while supporting senior kitchen staff. They work under the guidance of Cook 1, the Sous Chef, and the Executive Chef, ensuring consistency and efficiency in food production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist Cook 1 and senior chefs with food preparation and execution.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times.
• Work efficiently to meet service demands while ensuring quality control.
• Assist with receiving and proper storage of ingredients.
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen leadership team.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
• Support and train Cook 3 team members as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take direction well.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
