Dishwasher

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, as well as food preparation work when required. This position also acts as receiver, checks deliveries, with random weight checks, and stores goods in a proper and timely fashion. Delivery of and collection of staff meal is key to the position.

WAGE: $21.92/hour to start

(This is a unionized position and comes with 3 tiers of benefits based on your hours worked.)

RESPONSIBILTIES:

· Understands & maintains basic food safe standards.

· Daily polishing of all stainless steel in kitchen.

· Maintains pot sink temperature.

· Maintains pot sink organization. Understands 3 sink-washing procedures.

· Implements dish machine procedures & cleanliness especially with filters.

· Dish intake/output.

· Implements cutlery soaking & washing procedures.

· Knows kitchen utensil names & placement.

· Cleans shelves, walls, corners & edges.

· Weekly deep clean under all shelves & stoves.

· All glass cleaned daily.

· Helps put Food orders away.

· Perform other duties as necessary and assigned by Chef

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience in a Club/Hotel/Restaurant Kitchen

· Secondary School graduate

· Must be able to work varying shifts

· Must hold valid work authorization for Canada at the time of applying

· Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn

· Able to complete assigned tasks with a high level of enthusiasm

· Be an excellent team player with clear communication skills

· Time management and ability to prioritize

· Ability to work under pressure

· Must be able to walk/stand for up to 4 hours in length
