We're looking for an experienced, passionate General Manager to take the lead at Fred's Kitsilano, our vibrant neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of West 4th Avenue.

The Opportunity
As General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind Fred's Kitsilano.
You'll lead a talented team, bring our guest experience to life, and play a key role in the restaurant's continued evolution. This isn't a behind-the-desk management position. We're looking for someone who thrives in the energy of service, connects with guests, and inspires their team to do great things.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead from the floor: Be a visible, engaged leader who sets the tone for great service and a positive team environment.
Build an incredible team: Recruit, mentor, and develop people who are passionate about hospitality and proud of where they work.
Create memorable experiences: Make every guest feel welcome, valued, and excited to come back.
Make your mark: Bring fresh ideas, identify opportunities, and help shape the next chapter of Fred's Kitsilano.
Drive the business forward: Take ownership of restaurant performance, including sales, labour, costs, and profitability.
Keep things running smoothly: Oversee daily operations, scheduling, training, and restaurant standards.
Grow with the brand: Work closely with our operations team to support new initiatives and the continued development of Fred's.
Who We're Looking For
You're a confident, approachable leader who genuinely enjoys the restaurant business. You know that great hospitality starts with a great team, and you're just as comfortable connecting with guests as you are reviewing financial performance.
Ideally, you bring:
3+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or in a senior restaurant leadership role.
A proven ability to build, motivate, and develop strong teams.
Solid business knowledge, including labour management, food and beverage costs, and restaurant profitability.
A hands-on leadership style and a genuine passion for the guest experience.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
A proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership of your restaurant.
Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment is an asset.
