Part Time Dietary Aide Food Service

Serve residents with care as a part time Dietary Aide at Extendicare, using food service skills and following individual diets and preferences.
As a valued culinary team member, you will assist with meal plating and service while maintaining clean serving areas and equipment. The position includes preparing simple foods, supporting cooks, and following established policies, procedures, and standards. You will also help maintain safe, organized dietary operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve meals according to residents’ diets and preferences
Maintain serving temperatures and observe meal service time limits
Prepare salads, vegetables, fruits, breakfasts, desserts, and garnishes
Clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, equipment, and serving areas
Store and label dietary supplies, food, and leftovers properly
Requirements:
Complete or enroll in an approved Food Service Worker Program
Hold a current Food Handler’s Certificate
Previous long-term care dietary experience preferred, including zero to one year
Read and write English and understand simple instructions
Stand extended periods and perform moderate to heavy lifting
Bring food preparation, resident service, cleaning, and safe work practices to Extendicare’s part time dietary team.
