Summary:
The Garde Manger Line Cook is responsible for the preparation and presentation of cold dishes including salads, appetizers, cold entrees, dressings, and charcuterie. This position plays a key role in maintaining food quality and consistency, ensuring all items are prepared to exacting standards in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• :
  Prepare, assemble, and plate cold menu items including salads, pâtés, terrines, canapés, dressings, cold soups, and desserts
• Measure and prepare ingredients, set up workstations so food can be prepared according to recipes
• Maintain food safety and hygiene
• Focus on quality, food preparation standards, and consistency in a premium kitchen environment
• Meet production schedules and timelines
• Communicate and coordinate with the team, including front-of-house

Required Experience and Qualifications

• :
  1–2 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a garde manger or premium cold kitchen role
• Enrollment in or completion of a culinary program is preferred
• Food Safe Certification
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, withstand heat, and deal with the pressures of preparing food in a fast-paced environment
• Dedicated team player who naturally builds camaraderie
• Extremely organized; keeping to deadlines and working with precision in a fast-paced environment
• Responsible, motivated, and energetic self-starter
• Excellent English language communication skills
