Your role on our team

The Leasing Consultant serves to guide prospective residents through the rental process while providing best-in-class customer service.

In This Role, You Will
  • Respond to rental inquiries via various channels
  • Enter leads in CRM, ensuring accurate traffic data and reporting
  • Conduct comparison shops with competitors
  • Meet/exceed monthly rental goals
  • Interview prospective residents to determine needs and promote suitable Minto products
  • Tours prospects through properties, suites, and amenities
  • Invite and assist with online applications, overcoming objections
  • Verify applicant suitability (credit/income checks)
  • Collect rent deposits (varies by province)
  • Optimize occupancy
  • Ensure properties and vacant suites are “show-ready”
  • Manage “walk-in” prospects, answer inquiries, and assess needs
  • Greets clients at the rental office
  • Maintain knowledge of Minto products and communities
  • Collaborate with marketing and revenue management to optimize media use and trends
  • Encourage renewals from existing residents
  • Provide feedback on leasing incentives and rental rates
  • Adhere to applicable legislation (Health and Safety, WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, Human Rights)
  • Perform other duties as requested
We Would Like You To Have
  • High School Diploma is required. Post-secondary education in sales or marketing considered an asset
  • Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience
  • Rental Property Management License with BCFSA
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Yardi considered an asset
  • Valid Driver’s license and vehicle preferred
  • High energy with desire to work in a fast-paced environment
