The OpportunityVoPay is seeking a Senior Business Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel strategy and outbound execution across enterprise and mid-market accounts in Canada. Operating as part of the marketing and growth team, this role will take ownership of prospecting, lead qualification, and sales pipeline acceleration through outbound campaigns, strategic account targeting, and field engagement.
This is a highly strategic position for a self-starter who can build relationships, identify high-value opportunities, and move prospects efficiently toward the sales process. You will work closely with AEs, marketing, and product teams to drive targeted outreach, refine messaging, and shape VoPay’s market approach across key verticals.
Key Responsibilities:Prospecting & Pipeline Development
- Identify and engage high-potential enterprise and mid-market accounts through outbound channels, including email, phone, Linked In, and in-person events
- Research and segment prospects to develop account-specific engagement strategies
- Book qualified meetings with decision-makers and ensure smooth handoff to AEs
- Refine VoPay’s outreach cadences based on performance metrics, response rates, and buyer intent signals
- Qualify leads using VoPay’s ICP and qualification framework to ensure strong solution fit
- Manage outbound activity and lead status in Hub Spot, maintaining full visibility into engagement history and conversion rates
- Support nurture sequences and re-engagement workflows for leads not yet ready to convert
- Represent VoPay at industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows in Canada
- Build relationships with stakeholders and solution buyers.
- Conduct event-based outreach and follow-up to drive lead generation.
- Work closely with marketing to refine campaign targeting and prospect messaging
- Provide feedback loops to inform ICP, content development, outbound scripts, and product positioning
- Deliver weekly reporting on outbound activity, lead velocity, and conversion performance
- Contribute to VoPay’s GTM strategy through insights gathered from enterprise prospect conversations
- Proven Experience:
3+ years of demonstrated success in a similar role. - Experience working in B2B and/or SaaS environments is strongly preferred.
- Data-driven and goal-oriented, with strong activity discipline and a proactive, high-energy approach
- Coachable mindset with a strong desire to learn, improve, and grow in a scaling organization
- Hub Spot experience is strongly preferred (Apollo or similar sales engagement tools are an advantage)
- Familiarity with modern GTM tools, including AI-powered prospecting and automation tools, is an advantage
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mid-stage startup environment
Base salary range is $70,000- $80,000 plus commission
