Peninsula Co-opis hiring a Commercial Sales Manager – Petroleum for a permanent,full‑time position within our Commercial Sales – Petroleum division based in Saanichton, BC. This role supports and oversees our commercial petroleum,cardlock, and home heating operations across Vancouver Island.   • Brings3+ years of experience in petroleum, fuel distribution, commercial sales, or arelated industry
  • Has3+ years of leadership experience leading a team
  • Hasstrong financial and operational acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability
  • Has experience managing budgets, margins, and operational performance metrics
  • Hasstrong computer skills including Excel, Word, and related business software
  • Can lead and support teams while building accountability and structure
  • Is comfortable making decisions in a fast‑paced and changing environment
  • Has excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Understands the importance of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility
  • Can analyze market trends, competitor activity, and operational performance to identify opportunities

WHATYOU’LL BE DOING

The Commercial Sales Manager – Petroleum is responsible for driving profitable growth across cardlock, bulk fuel delivery, wholesale petroleum, and home heating channels, and for the efficient operation of three cardlock locations,including managing the teams and facilities at these sites.

This role leads business development initiatives, strengthens customer relationships, and oversees operational performance to support long‑term customer retention andmargin growth.

Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies to grow the commercial petroleum, cardlock, and home heating business across Vancouver Island;building and actively managing a sales pipeline with a strong focus on new customer acquisition; maintaining and growing relationships with key commercial customers while identifying opportunities for expansion; monitoring KPIsincluding sales volume, margins, customer retention, and operational efficiency; and supporting budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and financial planning for the commercial division.
