Residential Sales Specialist

Role Overview

As a Pest Control Consultant you will represent Rentokil’s national brand in your local community, selling industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers while providing customer‑focused service to grow the business.

• Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and other related concerns.
• Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Center, Inside Sales, and Technicians to create increased sales opportunities.
• Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams within the current base and service‑specialist engagement.
• Develop proposals that resolve existing pest issues and propose additional enhancements to household services.
• Complete a home diagram using the Sales CRM to provide a clear understanding of the customer’s home and possible challenges.
• Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
• Provide expert knowledge to new service installations to ensure the job is completed satisfactorily.
• Maintain daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM.

• Move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, repositioning).
• Regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; travel up/down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces while walking, standing, or crouching.
• Deal with various pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle and keep all equipment clean.
• Wear PPE such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator when required; work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways regularly.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license from your current state of residence.
• Strong social, customer service, and communication skills.
• Preferably 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of time within the assigned territory(s).

Base Pay Range (Yearly): $37,128.00 – $48,267.00. Pay may vary by location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment where applicable.
