Strategic Account Manager
We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to further develop our relationships with existing customers.
Role OverviewThe Strategic Account Manager will focus on prospecting into both our existing customer base and some net new to uncover pipeline, drive sales cycles and close business, while developing, owning and executing against account success plans and working closely with internal teams such as Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Implementation, Operations, and Product to ensure overall expansion.
Responsibilities- Own relationships with named accounts to develop and implement plans geared at maximizing expansion opportunities across all Tipalti products and ensuring a high bar of customer success
- Accurately maintain account and opportunity information within our internal CRM systems
- Effectively leverage systems and tools to engage with customers, manage pipeline, track deal progress, and use data to inform and enable effective decisions
- Work strategically to understand the customer’s business and align to their business goals
- Identify business challenges and create solutions using Tipalti services
- Build deep trusting relationships with decision makers and executives and ensure they are appropriately engaged
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies
- Continually identify and communicate customer knowledge gaps and opportunities for Tipalti products and services
- 4+ years of experience in Software/SaaS or Financial Tech sales with a successful track record of consistent quota achievement
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related area, or equivalent
- Previous experience selling to C‑Suite – Emerging Technologies, Digital Economy and Global Organizations strongly preferred
- Problem‑solving capabilities, highly organized, detail‑oriented, strong time‑management skills
- Proactive, self‑starting individual who can identify opportunities and run with them
- Demonstrated ability to sell large‑scale solutions and achieve sales revenue targets through increased adoption and expanded use of technology in existing customer base
- Skilled at fostering and leveraging robust working relationships with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute customer success strategies
- Driven to achieve aggressive goals combined with equal passion for customer success
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients
- Base Salary Range: $105,000 – $130,000 CAD annually
- Commission:
Opportunity to earn commission; target commission equals base salary range ($105,000 – $130,000 CAD annually) - Expected Total Compensation: $210,000 – $260,000 CAD annually (base salary plus target bonus/commission)
