Amazon Web Services Canada is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to join its Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods, Travel & Hospitality Industry Team in Vancouver, BC. This role owns the full lifecycle of strategic relationships with enterprise retail customers, driving cloud adoption and revenue growth across an assigned portfolio.
The role serves as the primary business partner to C‑suite and VP‑level stakeholders, translating customer business challenges into AWS‑powered solutions while orchestrating cross‑functional teams including Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Partner teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute account plans for a portfolio of enterprise retail customers, driving net‑new workload adoption and consumption growth
- Own revenue targets and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities through deep understanding of customer technology landscape and business priorities
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with C‑suite, VP, and Director‑level decision‑makers
- Conduct regular executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions
- Partner with Solutions Architects to scope technical solutions addressing retail‑specific use cases (supply chain optimization, personalization, agentic commerce, demand forecasting)
- Drive deal progression from qualification through close, managing commercial negotiations
- Coordinate with partners to deliver joint value propositions
- Quarterback internal teams to deliver unified customer experiences
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Canadian/global retail landscape including M&A activity, digital transformation trends, and competitive dynamics
- Represent AWS at customer‑facing events, executive briefings, and industry conferences
- 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C‑level executives
- Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large‑scale technology projects for global customers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience selling to large scale retail Enterprise business
Base salary range: $99,800 – $166,700 CAD annually (Vancouver, BC). Total compensation may include sign‑on payments, RSUs, and sales incentives. Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and wellness resources.
5+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C‑level executives; experience with large‑scale technology project negotiations and closings
