The Role

As DSC continues to grow, we are hiring our first Sales Development Representative to help drive new business and expand our client base. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating pipeline, engaging senior decision-makers at target accounts, and helping bring new clients into the business.

This role focuses on outbound prospecting into senior technical audiences. You will engage CTOs and data engineering leaders at organizations where DSC can deliver meaningful value, many of whom have not yet identified the problem we help solve. Success in this role depends on preparation, business context, and the ability to engage a senior buyer with credibility.

Targeted call lists, outreach scripts, and ongoing training are provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct 30 to 40 outbound calls per day to senior contacts at target accounts, including CTOs and data engineering leadership.
  • Book qualified meetings for the Sales Manager and maintain a consistent, healthy pipeline.
  • Coordinate and file RFP and RFQ submissions 1 to 2 times per week using an established process and template. Training provided and no prior RFP experience required.
  • Represent DSC at local networking events in Vancouver approximately 4 times per month.
  • Research target accounts before outreach to ensure calls are relevant, informed, and personalized.
What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who approaches sales with intention. Experience in considered, higher-ticket B2B sales is important, as the conversations in this role require preparation, business context, and the ability to engage a senior buyer meaningfully.

Required
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in B2B sales, with exposure to selling higher-ticket solutions to business decision-makers.
  • Confidence engaging senior buyers over the phone, including the ability to navigate conversations that go beyond a prepared script.
  • Strong business acumen and genuine curiosity about the accounts you are calling.
  • A coachable, high-ownership approach to the role. You apply feedback and take accountability for your results.
  • Comfort with a consultative sales motion where the goal is helping a prospect recognize a problem before proposing a solution.
Preferred
  • Experience in B2B services, consulting, or technology sales.
  • Familiarity with data, analytics, or technical concepts.
  • A background in payments, POS systems, or merchant services. The consultative selling style in those environments translates well to what we do.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary of $55,000-$60,000 depending on experience.
  • On-target earnings of $80,000-$90,000 with a performance-based commission structure. Full details are shared during the interview process.
