A leading international distributor of clothing, based in Vancouver, is looking for a Sales Manager to lead a selection of brands. We bring premium brands to retailers across Canada and the United States, and we're growing.
The PositionThis is a sales-driven role. You own the women's line end to end. You report to the Managing Director and work closely with a Brand Assistant who supports the day-to-day administration of the line. You work to a seasonal market calendar and manage multiple selling seasons want someone who sells at a high level and lifts the team while doing it.
WhatYou Will DoSales and Customer Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and key accounts
- Represent the brand at trade shows across Canada and the US
- Sell directly to accounts and support reps in closing business
- Coach and motivate the sales rep team with a positive, hands-on approach
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities
- Own the seasonal sales plan and hit booking targets
- Partner with the Brand Assistant, who handles the day-to-day administration (samples, order entry, and system data)
- Oversee the seasonal line sheets so reps and buyers can order without delays
- Own order flow and forecasting, from new customers and reorders to in-season buys
- Manage vendor relationships with overseas suppliers on product, timing, and pricing
- Keep sales reporting on track with current scorecards and booking numbers
- 3+ years of fashion sales experience, ideally women's apparel, with trade show and key account experience
- Strong track record building customer relationships and growing accounts
- Confident and effective in front of buyers at trade shows
- Positive, proactive, and able to bring energy to a rep team
- Comfortable with the administrative side of brand management, including ERP and B2B platforms
- Tech-savvy. Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace. Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Able to work independently, prioritize, and manage a high volume of deadlines
- Able to travel within Canada and the US for trade shows and customer visits. A valid passport and the ability to cross the US border are required.
- Some travel and weekend trade shows required
- Wage Range: $50,000-$80,000
