Business Development Representative

Business Development Representative (BDR) Compensation:

40,000 CAD base per year, plus 10% commission. OTE $70,000 per year.

We're hiring a competitive BDR to generate and qualify new funding opportunities. You'll be the first point of contact for business owners seeking capital, qualifying leads before handing them off to Account Executives (closers).

This is a high-volume phone role. You'll make 200+ dials per day, work throughl ead lists efficiently, and follow up consistently with prospects who didn't pick up or weren't ready the first time. The money is in the follow-up. Deals are won by the rep who stays on top of every prospect and calls back when promised.

Base is 40,000 CAD, and commission is 10% of revenue on deals you source, with no cap. Your output sets your ceiling, and our top performers make the base look like a rounding error.

No prior sales experience required. We'll train you. What we can't train is work ethic, resilience, and showing up ready to dial every morning.

Full-time, in-office at our downtown Vancouver office, five days a week. You'll sit on the floor with the closers and management, which is where the coaching actually happens.

• Make 200+ outbound dials per day by phone, with supporting outreach by email and SMS
• Work assigned lead lists efficiently and maximize contact rates
• Respond quickly to inbound leads from marketing campaigns
• Follow up systematically with warm and cold prospects (multiple touches,
• Qualify merchants based on revenue, time in business, and funding needs
• Set qualified appointments for Account Executives
• Maintain accurate CRM records and log every call and disposition
• Track daily KPIs (dials, talk time, contacts, appointments set, conversions)
• Build and manage your own pipeline
• Collaborate with closers to ensure smooth handoffs

• Strong communication skills and genuine interest in building professional relationships
• High energy and a resilient, coachable mindset, comfortable with high call volume and hearing "no"
• Self-motivated, with the discipline to hit call targets without being chased
• Competitive, and motivated by uncapped commission rather than intimidated by it
• Analytical mindset and comfort using technology for research and tracking
• Able to commute to our downtown Vancouver office five days a week
• Sales, call centre, or customer-facing experience is an asset but not required
